ART-126P Violin Storage Dry Cabinet
Eureka Dry Tech ART-126 Violin Storage Cabinet
Most traditional violins are made of wood, a material which expands in the humid summer months or tropical climate region. Controlling humidity to a consistent level is necessary to minimize the expansion and contraction in order to avoid minor inconveniences such as buzzing or open seams or major problems such as cracks.
Ideal humidity for instruments is 50-60% in most areas. In tropical regions where humidity levels stays consistently above 80%RH or more, most homes require supplementary dehumidifiers to maintain a suitable environment. Although A/C and dehumidifiers does help control the environment, running these appliances year round could become costly.
To counter the excessive electricity costs, Eureka Dry Tech has developed ART-126P Violin Storage Auto Dry Box, a product specifically for violinists to store their beloved instruments.
ART-126P is 132 liters in capacity and is calibrated to maintain 50%-60%RH environment. The ART-126P features 2 fully adjustable hanging cradles and non toxic protection foam mats to prevent any accidental bumps against the walls of the cabinet.
The drying unit in the Art-126P Violin Storage Auto Dry Box consumes minimal electricity and the design of this product allows great display while in humidity controlled protective storage.
Humidity Controlled Storage for various Music Instruments
With over 30 years experience, Eureka Dry Tech has provided humidity controlled storage solutions for various types of musical instruments to all music lovers.
Wood is an organic material which exchanges moisture with the surrounding air. It swells and contracts depending on its moisture content, and its moisture level depends directly on the moisture in the surrounding air. This change in shape and size puts stress on the instrument.
In addition, the tone of a musical instrument with a pure timbre is significantly affected under high humidity conditions. This condition affects all types of wooden musical instruments.
