What should I know before buying an Auto DryBox?

 


1.What is relative humidity (R.H.)?

Relative humidity is the ratio of the current absolute humidity to the highest possible absolute humidity. When relative humidity is high, the moist in objects would be harder to vaporize into air.

2.How do I know the relative humidity in my area?

Please link to http://www.weather.com/ or other local weather website. Relative humidity (some weather website would refer to humidity) is an important weather indicator; therefore it will be displayed on the website.


3.What is Auto DryBox ? Why need Auto DryBox?

Auto Dry Box is an automatic electronic operation storage which is air-tight to protect objects from problems caused by moisture. Auto Dry Box can isolate the air inside the cabinet from outside moisture and dust. Furthermore, it can reduce the relative humidity mildly to user's customized range, while keeping the storage things intact. High relative humidity not only makes people feel uncomfortable, but also causes belongings molding, rusting, or less precise. Therefore, we produce the most optimal Auto Dry Box for your various valuable items.

5.How to choose suitable Auto DryBox to fit my requirement? What should I do if I cannot find a suitable model?

6.Why do I need extra Auto DryBoxes as I already have air conditioners or dehumidifiers?

It is because some precious items have to be stored in low humidity to avoid aging, molding, rusting etc. Auto DryBox can reach 25%RH to 55%RH (Fast Super Dryer can reach <20%RH or <10%RH or <5%RH) to solve above problems But air conditioners or dehumidifiers just reach 50%RH~60%RH. Furthermore, the power consumption is much lower than air conditioners and dehumidifiers. Auto DryBoxes dont cause any problem of drain. (Please refer to Comparison with Other Products)

 

 

What should I know after buying an Auto DryBox?


1.Are there requires of desiccant replacement in the Auto DryBox?

The desiccant in Auto DryBox can be reused over a century, so there is no replacement problem in desiccant.


2.Is there any maintenance or consuming parts required?

No, the only thing that Auto DryBox need is being plugged, no additional maintenance required.


3.Does the Auto DryBox need to be powered all the time? Does the Auto DryBox demand a lot of power consumption?

In order to keep dehumidification efficiently, it's necessary to be powered all the time. However, the power consumption for Auto DryBox is quite low. Depending on different models, it only takes from 4w to 48w per hour.


4.Why apply Dual Sensors in Auto DryBox? What are the advantages?

Dual Sensors design means that one is on dry units and the other is on the hygrometer. They operate independently. The thermo-hygrometer acts as a third party monitor to check the RH, so it's easy to find the real RH inside the cabinet. Besides, due to separate performance, it is very convenient for users or distributors to check the problem on performance of dry unit or hygrometer if it happened.


5.Is there any chemical reaction involved in the dehumidification?

Auto DryBox's dehumidification process doesn't involve any chemical reaction. Porous desiccant absorb and release water molecule and its environmental friendly.


6.Is there any installation procedure for initial use or reuse after shutdown for a long time?

There is detailed step by step installation guide in the instruction manual and it's easy to install.


7.Why does the indicator in the front of the dry unit not always turn on?

Because of the electronic cycling, Absorption & Exhaustion operate reciprocally to maintain the humidity inside the cabinet. During the Exhaustion Stage of dehumidification cycling (Please refer to How Does the Auto DryBox Work?), the front indicator will automatically turn on to release humidity out the box. On the contrary, as it is on the Absorption Stage, the front indicator will turn off.


8.Why does the indicator in the back of the dry unit not always turn on?

It is because when the relative humidity reaches the set-up range, the power will turn off automatically.


9.Why does the Auto DryBox keep dehumidification even if accidentally powered off?

The dry unit system includes lots of molecular sieve as desiccant. Molecular sieve can trap the moisture via Van-Der-Watt force and capillary attraction. Thus, if accidentally power off, the dry cabinets still have ability of dehumidification.


10.Are there any recommended places for Auto DryBox location?

For best performance, do not locate Eureka Auto DryBox at places where can be exposed to direct sunlight, right next to the wall, close to heat sources or near the wind gap. Keep box away from external items to prevent the valves from being plugged up by tiny objects. Also, inside the cabinet, please don't put items close to the dry unit, otherwise, the humidity can not be reduced.


11.Is there anything warnings for storage? Are there any un-recommend things for Auto DryBox?

Do not let the storage items block the vents above and below the dry unit, because it will prevent the air in the box from circulating and then the humidity can not be reduced. Food and chemicals should be tightly wrapped so that the food odor and the chemical vapor will not leak out to damage other storage items and the dry unit.


12.What is Non-central Bar design? What are the advantages?

Non-central Bar is one of Taiwan Dry Tech's patents. When both doors are open, no central-bar barrier causes inconvenience to put in or take out all bulky items directly. Both doors can be opened individually. It is highly flexible to store various & enormous amount of components.

 

 

 

 

 

Auto DryBox


1.The control panel is continuous, how do I know the corresponding relative humidity?

If the cabinet is empty, then the relative humidity is 45%~55% when the controller set to L, 35%~45% when set to M and 25%~35% when set to H. The optimal setting would vary when the types of storages change.


2.Will the magnet-seal door affect floppy disc, tape, hard disc or other electronic devices?

No, the magnet field of the magnet-seal door is very weak. It will not cause any effect to the device in the dry box.


3.Can I pile up my Auto DryBox?

Yes, some models are designed to combine together, such as smiles, AD-280H / AD-280MH or MH-450 / MD5250. (Please refer to Abundant & Bulky Series.)


4.Can the Auto DryBox remove mold on the object?

Auto DryBox can only prevent in advance and prevent mold to aggravate. What's more, if the object is already molded, do not put them in to Auto DryBox, otherwise it would contaminate other objects in the box.


5.What should I do if the hygrometer indicates high relative humidity for a long time?

Please turn the controller to position H (Turn the controller to M or H). It also could be the things that you store contains high moist, so that Auto DryBox takes longer time to reduce the relative humidity.

6.What should I do if the hygrometer indicates very low relative humidity for a long time?

Please open the door of Auto DryBox to let the relative humidity to go up and turn the controller to position L

1.What can be stored in FAST SUPER DRYER?

Any MSD (Moisture Sensitive Devices) requires extra-low humidity, such as Wafer, IC (QFP, CSP, PGA, BGA, SOP, TQFP), Resin, Lead Frame, Bonding Wire, LED, LCD, LC Glass Board, CCD, condenser, Prepreg, Semi-Mounted PCB, PCB, Solder, Quartz Crystals, Quartz Oscillators, Ceramics, Chemicals, Optical Fiber, Microlens, Electric capacitor, Transistor, Wolfram.


2.What is Real Dehumidified Limited for FAST SUPER DRYER series?

It means the RH is strict control the range. For example, <5%RH indicates that RH is less than 5%RH ALL THE TIME, instead of average RH of 5%, which might be higher than 5%RH sometimes and it doesnt meet the standard of IPC / JEDEC J-STD-033B. 3.What is Recovery Time?

According to IPC/ JEDEC J-STD-033B, it indicates that the cabinet must be capable of recovering to their stated humidity rating within one hour routine excursions such as door opening / closing.
(The recovery time for FAST SUPER DRYER is within 30 min., faster than the standard)

4.Is there any N2 / Dry Air Purge needed for FAST SUPER DRYER?

No, it saves cost of purged gas consumption and of pressure & flow control. Besides, it avoids extra-dry instability from purity and mass flow of purged gas. Also, it can be flexible using without pipeline restriction.


5.Is there any ESD protection on FAST SUPER DRYER?

Yes, each FAST SUPER DRYER has anti-static painting, glass, shelves, stands / casters plus a ground wire with 1M.

6.Why use TESTO hygrometer on FAST SUPER DRYER?

The thermo-hygrometer acts as a third-part monitor to check the real RH inside the cabinet, therefore, we use TESTO which is famous German-brand and is DKD-traceable.
